Picks up when your team can't
After hours, during lunch, or when all lines are busy. For your practice we set that up on your phone line, so the rest of the time your phones work the way they do now.
ai front desk for dental practices
An AI receptionist that picks up after hours and when all lines are busy. It tells callers it's an AI, takes down what they need and books the appointment. Your team finds the calls in one list the next morning.
We're setting this up with the first US practices now. Today it runs for a demo practice in Dutch.
the calls that slip through
Checking a patient in, sorting out an insurance question and answering the phone, all at the same moment. When a second line rings, it can go unanswered. After hours, calls go to voicemail.
That isn't a staff problem. It's a phone that needs an answer while everyone is busy with the patient in front of them.
Count how many of last night's callers called back this morning. That's the number that matters.
what it does
This is how it runs today for our demo practice, which speaks Dutch and runs as a web call. For a US practice we set it up in English on your own phone line.
After hours, during lunch, or when all lines are busy. For your practice we set that up on your phone line, so the rest of the time your phones work the way they do now.
The call opens with a short line that the caller is talking to an AI assistant for your practice. No pretending to be a person.
New or existing patient, the reason for the visit and the days and times that work. Your team gets it written out, not as a voicemail to replay.
It offers open times and books the visit, within the rules you set. A new patient, for example, gets a new-patient visit first. Your team can move or cancel the booking the next morning.
When a caller needs a person, or mentions pain, swelling, bleeding or an injury, it passes the call to your team as a callback task instead of handling it alone.
Who called, what they needed and what still needs doing, with a summary and a transcript where available. No more piecing it together from sticky notes.
one evening, step by step
An example with a made-up patient, to show the order of things.
The call goes to the assistant, which opens by saying it is an AI assistant for the practice.
She prefers Tuesday mornings. The assistant offers a new-patient visit at 9:00, she takes it, and it books the visit.
The assistant repeats the day and time back to her. The call shows up in your team's list.
Someone on your team checks the new booking, reads what she asked for and calls her back if anything is unclear.
you stay in charge
When it answers, which visits it may book and for whom, and when it passes a call to your team. We set these up with you before it takes a single call.
A summary and transcript where available, plus what still needs doing. If something went wrong, your team can read back what was said.
Calls with patients contain protected health information. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with your practice before the first patient call goes through the system.
Switch it off and your calls go back to the way they ran before. Your phone line and your practice software stay as they are.
where we are
Montari is a small company based in the Netherlands. We build this ourselves and will run it ourselves, so you talk to the person who builds it, not an account manager. Calls are scheduled in your time zone.
On the first call we look at your call volume, your phone setup and your scheduling software, and tell you straight whether it's a fit.
questions
It runs today for a demo practice that speaks Dutch, as a web call. The English version on a real phone line is what we set up with the first US practices, one practice at a time.
Yes. The call opens with the assistant saying it is an AI assistant for your practice. A caller who would rather talk to a person is passed to your team as a callback task.
The call is in your team's list with what the caller asked for, and a summary and transcript where available. Your team checks new bookings the next morning, so they can catch a mistake before the visit.
Not out of the box yet. Today it books into its own schedule. Which systems we connect first, such as Open Dental or Dentrix, depends on the first practices, and we check yours on the first call.
It does not assess them. When a caller mentions pain, swelling, bleeding or an injury, the call goes to your team as a task. It is set up not to give medical advice, and answers that sound like advice are flagged for your team.
Patient calls contain protected health information. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with your practice before the first patient call goes through the system. We won't claim more than that here. Ask us for the details on the call.
That is your choice, and we set it up with you. If calls are recorded, we add a line about it to the opening of the call, because some states require the consent of everyone on the call.
We aim to work with the phone line you have, for example with a forwarding rule after hours or when all lines are busy. Whether that works with your setup is something we check on the first call.
It depends on the number of locations and how many calls you get. You get a clear monthly price on the first call, before you commit to anything.
